Jida – this kind of low trees or shrubs belongs to the family Lochovye. In the wild, the plant can be found in southern and Eastern Europe, in the Crimea, in Asia Minor and Central Asia, and also in Iran. Jida berries contain useful sugars, mineral salts of phosphorus and potassium, as well as essential amino acids, tannin and organic acids. As a chemical composition of leaves of Jida, ascorbic acid enters, and the bark contains alkaloids, coloring and tannins. Plant flowers are rich in essential oils. At the age of 5-12 years, the Jida begins to actively allocate gum. The souvenirs of Jida are used for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and cardiovascular system. They found recognition as an astringent, diuretic and expectorant. Jida is useful in sclerosis, rheumatism and arthritis.
